A diligent and experienced personality and a doctorate from JNTUH, Dr. D. V. Ravi Shankar is the Principal. He completed his AMIE (Mechanical Engineering) from the Institute of Engineers in 1987 and M. Tech. from REC-NIT, Surathkal in 1994. His twenty three years of seasoned experience includes managerial, technical, administrative and academic jobs in various organizations. He has presented 14 papers at national and four at international levels. He established a small scale industry, Bharathi Glass Fibre Reinforce Polymers at Machilipatnam as an ancillary to Bharath Electronics Ltd. and had managed it for three years. He also erected and commissioned Acetylene Generating Plant for Roorkela Steel Plant, Orissa and also worked for Cheetah-Chetak Helicopter Radar Domes and V-SAT Antenna Refl ectors for ECIL, Hyderabad. He is a founder member of ISTE Students and Staff Chapter at Vijay Rural Engineering College, Nizamabad. His research work on composite materials inspired a young entrepreneur to establish an enterprise for producing fi lament wound pipes using polymer composite materials. The organization RADH Composite Industries Pvt. Ltd., Saragapur, Nizamabad honored him to be their technical mentor and consultant.
